I am passionate about helping patients improve their health and quality of life. I love to build a bond of trust with my patients and treat each patient as an individual. I am committed to providing excellent healthcare in a professional and friendly manner.
Experience
I have been involved in medicine most of my life, attending medical college at Mangalore University in India, and graduating in 1992. Thereafter, I worked in various hospitals in India and in the UK, before moving to Jersey in 2004 and joining the Medicine department. I have a special interest in Multiple Sclerosis
I was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2021.
A Journey - Goa to Jersey
My husband and I moved to Jersey in 2004, because we knew this was where we wanted to establish long-term roots. We have two wonderful twin boys, who have fully embraced Jersey.

Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance.
Treatments include:
- treating relapses with short courses of steroids
- specific treatments for individual MS symptoms
- treatment to reduce the number of relapses using medicines called disease-modifying therapies
Parkinson’s disease
Parkinson's disease is caused by a loss of nerve cells in part of the brain called the substantia nigra. This leads to a reduction in a chemical called dopamine in the brain.
Treatments to reduce the main symptoms and maintain quality of life include:
- supportive treatments, such as physiotherapy
- medication
- rarely, brain surgery
Non cosmetic Botox
In small therapeutic doses, injections of botulinum toxin can be used to treat symptoms in MS. It can be injected into individual muscles to prevent the nerve messages that cause spasticity and spasms.
Botox in spasticity
For people with spasticity that affects only a few muscles, botulinum toxin (or Botox®, the commonly known name brand) has been clinically proven to be helpful.
